This event is FREE! Bring your yoga mats and learn how movement yoga can help you have better body mechanics and allow you as a practitioner to deliver more power and become more intentional in your movements.
Each seminar is eight hours of hands-on experience. There are a total of four Zones. Each Zone is meant to be a stand-alone class allowing students to gain skills that can be applied to any region of the body and also allowing students to gain experience working with specific conditions found in one of the four Zones. Students will apply and discuss each of the strokes used in massage; effleurage, petrissage, tapotement, vibration, and friction. Palpate and identify different tissue types and which strokes are indicated. Discuss and sample lotion, gels, cremes, and oils and decided which to use.
Understand the importance of muscle work and how it can help you to more effectively serve patients and their unique needs.
Our seminars are designed to give students hands-on experience that will allow them to grow in experience and confidence, better preparing them for clinic and future practice. These seminars allow for more one-on-one time with instructors will provide feedback for students, allowing them to increase in confidence and skill.

As long as the tattoo or piercing doesn't interfere with receiving or being able to perform therapy it should be fine. If any tattoos in the regions addressed in the seminar and/or the upper extremities are not at least 3 weeks old at the time of the seminar you will have to reschedule. If any piercings in the regions addressed in the seminar and/or the upper extremities are not at least 8 weeks old at the time of the seminar you will have to reschedule.
Please understand that tattoos & piercings are open wounds and take weeks to fully heal. Prior to the seminar, your tattoo needs to be beyond the itching and peeling stage. Piercings should be able to be fully removed without discomfort.
During seminars, you are taught how to massage using your hands, forearms, and elbows. If you should for example get a sleeve done a week before the seminar, it would greatly limit not only your experience but also the experience of others in the seminar from receiving and providing therapy.
